About Tides Scout

Tides Scout publishes tide charts for coastal towns, and the same stations in an app for iPhone, Android, and Apple Watch.

The United States charts are NOAA predictions. Australia and New Zealand charts are calculated from published harmonic constants. Flood gauges, where a page has one, are coastal National Weather Service gauges. Light times come from the sunrise service used by the app. The sources page names each record.

The guides explain the tide and the light lines that appear on a station chart. They are written for this site. A town page is the prediction. A guide is the background.
